Precautions for Using a Hydraulic Breaker
The hydraulic breaker is an important attachment for construction machinery. Proper use not only improves working efficiency but also extends equipment life. The following key precautions should be observed.
1. Pre-operation inspection
Before use, check that all connecting bolts are tightened, the chisel is not excessively worn, and hydraulic lines show no leakage. Ensure the nitrogen pressure is within the specified range to avoid reduced impact force or equipment damage caused by abnormal pressure.
2. No idling (dry firing)
Never operate the breaker without a target object. Idle striking will cause the piston to directly impact the chisel, severely damaging the breaker. During operation, keep the chisel firmly pressed against the material, maintain a perpendicular angle, and avoid oblique or lateral forces.
3. Control continuous striking
If the breaker has been striking the same point for more than 30 seconds without breaking the material, move to a new position. Prolonged idle or excessive striking can cause the chisel to overheat and lose hardness, as well as raise hydraulic oil temperature, accelerating component wear.
4. Daily maintenance
Apply grease every two hours of operation. After finishing work, clean dust and debris from the breaker housing. When storing for long periods, release the nitrogen gas and keep the breaker in a dry place.
Following these guidelines will significantly reduce failure rates and ensure safe, efficient operation.
